Questions
Does ActiDesk email the prospect for us?
No — a rep sends the link themselves, the same way they'd send any email. With Outlook connected, Outlook sends it from the rep's own mailbox instead; ActiDesk itself never emails a prospect directly.
Do I need to connect Outlook to use it?
No — Outlook makes creating a package from a contact and sending to a whole list faster, but the create-package form works on its own with no integration connected.
Can reps use ActiDesk without leaving Outlook?
Yes — an admin deploys the ActiDesk add-in once from the Microsoft 365 admin center, and each rep connects their own Outlook. From any email, the ActiDesk panel builds a package for that contact from the rep's favorite template, drops the link into their reply, shows whether past packages were opened, and can List Merge a whole contact list. It works in new and classic Outlook for Windows, Mac, and Outlook on the web.
Is our account actually separated from every other organization on the platform?
Yes — every organization gets its own reps, asset library, and branding, fully isolated from every other tenant, verified independently against the live database rather than assumed from the schema.
Will a prospect actually be able to open everything in the package?
Yes — video and audio are served through Vimeo, and every document, image, and brochure link is verified to work for a real logged-out prospect, not just previewed from an already-signed-in rep session.
We only need 3 or 4 reps — can we just add seats to Solo or Team instead of buying Business?
On Team, yes — add-on seats are $39/user/mo, so a 3-rep team can stay on Team for $118/mo. At 4 or more reps, Business is the better deal: it includes 5 reps for $129/mo, with extra seats at $19/user/mo. Solo is fixed at 1 rep; adding a second means moving up to Team.
